I present here, with absolutely no legal right whatsoever, a hilarious story from 1955’s The Pogo Peek-A-Book. This story and all the characters and everything must be © Okefenokee Glee and Perloo, Inc., because that’s what it used to say on the official Pogo site, and I figure that must be true here as well. This story, except for the final page, is reprinted in Ten Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Years with Pogo.

 

Anyway, I don’t think there’s a better example anywhere of Walt Kelly’s complete and total brilliance as a writer and artist of funny animal comics. Click and enjoy.
