Seaside Music Theater was one of the very first companies to present the Maury Yeston/Arthur Kopit version of "Phantom." Like most subsequent productions all across the country, it was a huge success. This was my second show with the wonderful director Lester Malizia, and my first with the incomparable musical director Milton Granger. For my work at Seaside that summer in "Phantom," "Evita," and as Tito in "Lend Me a Tenor" I won the Marvin Samuels Memorial Award for Best Actor.
